Overview
Job Summary:
* Assists a Physical Therapist with a patient’s rehabilitative activities to help reduce pain and improve mobility.
* Full-time/40 hours/week
Job Duties:
* Supports therapist in assessing the condition of patients, planning treatment programs, preparing treatment schedules and keeping records on the progress of treatment.
* Assists with therapeutic procedures or administering procedures under a therapist’s supervision.
* Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing.
Job Requirements:
* Minimum EducationAssociate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assistant – Required
* Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) – Required within 30 days of hire, if not current upon hire.
Licenses: State of Tennessee Physical Therapy Assistant Licensure
* Minimum Work ExperienceOne year experience as Physical Therapy Assistant – Preferred
